Architectural drawings for planning permission and submission of a planning application. Listed building consent and planning permission also required for the installation of an extract unit. Once the planning permission was approved, the production of full detailed building regulation drawings was completed for tender and costing for construction.
SCOPE: Conversion of existing premises into coffee shop, breakfast bar and part restaurant, including a full kitchen fit out to the back of the retail unit, separated from the main serving area by a partition wall. The installation of a new toilet to the rear and a serving bar on the right wall to be visible to customers. The client wanted the proposed design layouts to keep the customers towards the front of the property where large windows allow natural light into the space.
DESIGN FEATURES: Restaurant Design – Lots of Light – Interior Design – Kitchen Design – Coffee Shop Design – Large Windows – Retail Design – Internal Renovation
THE RESULTS: Revitalising the high street from an empty unit – caused by the COVID lockdown, into a modern café with lots of seating and natural light – bringing Turkish cuisine to Mansfield Town Centre. The unit is a Grade 2 listed building and we achieved consent and planning permission for the change of use. The works were completed by Spring 2021, boasting 5-star reviews on trip advisor.
